1864 - Born on the 3rd of June in Geneva, Ohio.

1894 - He was famous for his racing on the Beaches of Florida at Ormond and Daytona.

1897 - He founded the Olds Motor Vehicle Company in Lansing, Michigan.

1900 - He built an elaborate Queen Anne-Style mansion on South Washington Avenue in Lansing.

1901 - He designed the Curved Dash Oldsmobile which sold for $650.00.

1906 - He organized the Capital National Bank, Lansing National Bank, and Michigan National Bank.

1925 - He served as president and chairman of REO.

1950 - He died on the 26th of August.
