Oldfield, Maurice, Sir
1915 - Born on the 16th of November Bakewell, Derbyshire.
1973 - He was Director-General of Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), commonly known as MI6.
1979 - He asked by Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher to coordinate security and intelligence in Northern Ireland.
1980 - He left his post after his Positive Vetting clearance was withdrawn.
1981 - He died on the 11th of March.
