Okudzhava, Bulat Shalvovich
1924 - Born on the 9th of May in Moscow, Russia.
1942 - He volunteered for the Red Army Infantry and participated in the war with Nazi Germany.
1945 - He returned to Tbilisi where he passed his high school graduation tests and enrolled in Tbilisi States University.
1950 - He worked as a teacher in a rural school in the village of Shamordino in Kaluga District.
- He began to compose songs and to perform them, accompanying himself on a Russian Guitar.
1956 - He worked as an editor in the publishing house Molodaya Gvadiya.
1980 - He performed his songs and began to be officially released in the Soviet Union.
1991 - He was awarded the USSR State Prize.
1994 - He won the Russian Booker Prize.
1997 - He died on the 12th of June in Paris.
