Okalik, Paul
1964 - Born on the 26th of May in Pangnirtung, Northwest Territories.
1980 - He worked for the Tunngavik Federation of Nunavut.
1993 - He served as a representative on the Nunavut Implementation Panel.
1999 - He was called to the Bar, becoming the first Inuit lawyer in NWT/Nunavut history.
- He was elected to represent Iqaluit West in the first Legislative Assembly of Nunavut.
2004 - He is the first territorial premier in Canadian history to serve two consecutive terms.
2005 - He received from Carleton University an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree.
