1849 - James O'Neill, born on the 15th of November in Kilkenny, Ireland. He was an actor and the father of the American playwright Eugene O'Neill.
  

1877 - Married to Mary O'Neill.

  

1885 - He bought production rights to Charles Fechter's stage adaptation of "The Count of Monte Cristo".

 

1920 - Died on the 10th of August in New London, Conneticut, United States.

 

1956 - An inspiration for character James Tyrone in Eugene O'Neill's play "Long Day's Journey into Night".
