1926 – Born on the 27th of March.

1941 – He studied piano at the New England Conservatory in Boston.

       – He served in the South Pacific and Japan as a Sonarsman on the Destroyer USS Nicholas during World War ll.

1950 – He changed his major and graduated from Harvard with a degree in English.

1951 – He won a Hopwood Award and received his M.A. in English Literature.

1956 – He collaborated with New York School painters to make "poem-paintings".

1960 – He was active in the art world, working as a reviewer for Arts News.

1966 – He died on the 25th of July.
