O'Dwyer, William
1890 - Born on the 11th of July in County Mayo, Ireland.
1910 - He worked as a laborer, then as a New York Police officer.
1923 - He received his degree and then built up a successful law practice.
1939 - He won election as the Kings County District Attorney.
1945 - He received the nomination of the Tammany Hall Democrats and easily won the mayoral election.
1948 - He received The Hundred Year Association of New York's Gold Medal Award.
1950 - He became the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico.
1952 - He resigned as a Ambassador, but he remained in Mexico.
1964 - He died on the 24th of November in New York City.
