Norton, Charles Eliot
1827 - Born on the 16th of November in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
1864 - He edited the North American Review, in association with James Russell Lowell.
1874 - He organized exhibitions of the drawings of Turner.
1875 - He was appointed professor of the history of art at Harvard.
1891 - He worked tirelessly as secretary to the Loyal Publication Society during the Civil War.
1908 - He died on the 21st of October.
