1886 - Born on the 21st of November in Teheran, Iran.
1909 - He was educated at Wellington College.
1913 - He married the writer Vita Sackville-West, who encouraged his literary ambitions.
1921 - He published a biography of French poet Paul Verlaine.
1930 - He and his wife acquired and moved to Sissinghurst Castle.
1931 - He joined Sir Oswald Mosley and his recently formed New Party.
1935 - He entered the House of Commons as National Labour Party.
1940 - He became Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister of Information in Churchill's.
1968 - He died on the 1st of May.
