1967 – He was born on the 10th of October this year in San Francisco, California.
1985 - He graduated from Redwood High School.
1989 - He then attended Santa Clara University on a partial baseball scholarship, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
1992 - He started the Plump Jack Wine Shop with the financial help of family friend Gordon Getty.
1996 - He was appointed by San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown to a vacant seat on the Parking and Traffic Commission and was elected president of the commission.
1998 - He was subsequently elected to the Board.
2000 – He was re-elected this year.
2001 - He married Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former San Francisco prosecutor and legal commentator for Court TV, CNN, and MSNBC, and who now hosts The Lineup on Fox News Channel.
2003 – He was elected mayor this year.
2004 – He joined UNITE HERE union members on a picket line in front of the Westin St. Francis Hotel.
2007 - He announced his intention to provide universal health care for all city residents through the San Francisco Health Access Plan.
