Newhouser, Harold (Hal)
1921 - Born on the 20th of May in Detroit, Michigan.
1939 - He went up to the major league club before the end of the season.
1940 - He earned a spot on the Tigers out of spring training and remained with the team.

1944 - He blossomed all at once becoming a dominant pitcher in wartime baseball.
1945 - He repeated as MVP with what was arguably an even better season.
1950 - He hurt his arm and his workload was cut significantly.
1992 - He was chosen for the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
1998 - He died on the 10th of November in Southfield, Michigan.
