1886 – Born on the 15th of February in India.
1905 – He joined the Army as part of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.
1911 – He served on the Northwest Frontier.
1913 – He had completed courses at the Central Flying School.
1916 – He later served in France during the First World War.
1937 – He was appointed as Chief of the Air Staff (CAS).
1940 – He was able to prevent ten squadrons being redeployed to France.
1946 – He helped to shepherd the New Zealand contribution to the war.
1963 – He died on the 30th of November.
