Newall, Cyril Louis Norton, Baron

1886 - Born on the 15th of February in India.

1905 - He joined the Army as part of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

1911 - He served on the Northwest Frontier.

1913 - He had completed courses at the Central Flying School.

1916 - He later served in France during the First World War.

1937 - He was appointed as Chief of the Air Staff (CAS).

1940 - He was able to prevent ten squadrons being redeployed to France.

1946 - He helped to shepherd the New Zealand  contribution to the war.

1963 - He died on the 30th of November.
