Neumann, Robert Gerhard

1916 – Born on the 2nd of January in Vienna, Austria.

1940 – He received a Master of Arts degree from Amherst College.

1946 – He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.

1970 – He felt compelled to remain at work at the Embassy, and resigned his professorship.

1973 – He became the ambassador of Morocco.

1976 – He began teaching again at Georgetown University.

1981 – He was called into the diplomatic community.

1983 – He abruptly resigned due to a personal conflict.

1990 – He remained a fellow at Georgetown University until his retirement.

1999 – He died on the 18th of June in Bethesda, Maryland.
