Neumann, John Nepomucene
1811 - Born on the 28th of March in Prachatitz, Bohemia.
1831 - He attended school in Budweis before entering the seminary.
1835 - He decided that there would be no more ordinations.
1836 - He moved to New York with very little money.
1842 - He took his vows in Baltimore, Maryland.
- He became the first Redemptorist of the New World.
1848 - He was naturalized as an American in Baltimore.
1852 - He was consecrated in Baltimore, as Bishop of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
1860 - He died on the 5th of January in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
