1934 – Born on the  16th of June  in  Toronto, Ontario.

1976 – He moved into Professional hockey coaching in Dallas.

1983 – He had coached the Campbell Conference All-Stars.

2000 – He become the ninth man to coach 1000 games.

2001 – He was awarded a Doctor of Laws in McMaster University.

2002 – He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

        – He was also appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada.

2003 – He died on the 21st of June.
