1903 – Born on the 26th of February in Imperia, Italy.

1924 – He graduated in Chemical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.

1927 – He passed the exams to become a professor.

1933 – He became a full professor and the director of the Institute of General Chemistry of Pavia University.

1935 – He was appointed full professor in physical chemistry at the University of Rome.

1938 – He took the head of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

1963 – He won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

1979 – He died on the 2nd of May in Bergamo.
