1918 - Born on the 27th of May in Gunma Prefecture,Japan.

1946 - He
entered the Diet of Japan as a member of the House of Representatives.

1952 - He gained brief notoriety, for blaming Emperor Hirohito for Japan's defeat in the war.
 
1959 - He became a Minister of Science, under the government of Nobusuke,Kishi.

1982 - He improved Japan's relations with the USSR and the People's Republic of China.

1985 - He became the first Japanese prime minister to visit Yasukini Shrine.

1986 - He congratulated the US, on its economic success despite the presence of "problematic" minorities.

2003 - He was not given a place on the LDP's electoral list.
