Muster, Thomas ("King of Clay")
1967 - Born on October 2nd in Leibnitz, Austria. Thomas Muster, the first Austrian ever to win a Grand Slam tournament, joined the elite of the tennis world.
1985 - He turned in to a professional tennis player.
1990 - Had a broken leg sustained in an auto accident. At the time, doctors gave him a very slim chance to even walk again.
1995 - Won the French Open singles title.
1996 - Received his highest ranking as the World no.1 on February 12th.
1999 - He retired with a career record of 622-271 in singles.
