1951 - Paul Muldoon, born on the 20th of June in Portadown, Co Armagh, SE Northern Ireland, UK. He is a poet from County Armagh, Northern Ireland.
1973 - 1998 - His works include New Weather, Selected Poems, Madoc: A Mystery, and Hay: Poems.
1986 - He has also edited a controversial anthology, Contemporary Irish Poetry.
1987 - He teaches at Princeton University and is an Honorary Professor in the School of English at the University of St Andrews.
1994 - Won the T. S. Eliot Prize.
1997 - Won the Irish Times Poetry Prize.
1999 - 2004 - He held the chair of Professor of Poetry at Oxford University for the five-year term, and he is an Honorary Fellow of Hertford College, Oxford.
2002 - His Moy Sand and Gravel received the Pulitzer poetry prize the following year.
2003 - Awarded by the Griffin International Prize for Excellence in Poetry.
