1911 – Born on the 30th of June in Seteiniai, Lithuania.

1953 – He received the Prix Littéraire Européen.

1960 – MiBosz came to the United States.

1970 – He took U.S. citizenship.

1961 – He began a professorship in Polish literature in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of California, Berkeley.

1978 – MiBosz received the Neustadt International Prize for Literature.

1980 – He received the Nobel Prize for Literature.

1989 – MiBosz received the National Medal of Arts and an honorary doctorate from Harvard University.

2004 – Died on the 14th of August at his home in Kraków, aged 93.
