1934 – She was born at the 20th day of October at Tokyo, Japan.
1957 – She earned a bachelor of arts in English literature from the Faculty of Literature at the University of the Sacred Heart at Tokyo. She met then-Crown Prince Akihito on a tennis court at Karuizawa
1958 – She was engaged with the crown prince of Japan on 27th day of November on this year.
1959 – She became the Crown Princess of Japan. She became the most visible and widely traveled imperial consort in Japanese History.
1989 – Her husband became the Japan’s 125th emperor and she became the empress.
1993 – The empress lost her voice for several months in the fall.
