1950 - With Peter Pulitzer, the grandson of publisher Joseph Pulitzer, they eloped, got married and had 2 children.

1960 - Lilly Pulitzer started making her famous dresses.

1969 - Divorced Peter and married Enrique Rousseau.

1984 - Lilly retired from the business.

1993 - She re-opened her business.
