1909 - Born on February 16th in Manchester, New Hampshire. American fast food businessman who established the first McDonald's restaurant.

1937 - Opened a hot dog stand in Monrovia, California.

1940 - Opened a barbeque drive-in.

1948 - Together with his brother with Maurice McDonald, he co-founded the 1st McDonald's restaurant serving burgers, french fries and milkshakes.

1953 - Accepted franchising with Dave Fox.

1954 - Partnered with Ray Kroc and later become McDonald's Corporation.

1961 - The sold franchise rights to Ray Kroc.

1998 - Died on July 14th in Manchester, New Hampshire.
