McDonagh, Martin
1970 – An Irish playwright was born on the 26th day of March this year in Camberwell, London.
1996 – He has been awarded London Critics' Circle Theatre Awards for Most Promising Playwright in this year. He also wrote The Beauty Queen of Leenane this year.
1997 – He wrote “A Skull in Connemara”.
1998 – He was nominated in Tony Award for Best Play.
2001 – He becomes more successful when he wrote “Lieutenant of Inishmore” this year.
2003 – He wrote the “Pillow man”, in which a horror writer is interrogated after several local children are murdered.
2004 – He was awarded Laurence Olivier Award for Best new play.
2006 – In March of this year, he won an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for Six Shooter a film he wrote and directed.
