1809 – A trustee of Dartmouth College.

1815 – Elected as a Federalist to the Fourteenth Congress.

         – Representative from Vermont.

         – Founder of the American Colonization Society while in Washington and resumed the practice of law in Woodstock, Windsor County, Vermont.

1849 – Died on January 11th in Woodstock, Vermont.
