1920 - Fredric March began a career in banking but found himself cast as an extra in films being produced in New York.

1924 - Married to Ellis Baker.

1926 - He starred on the Broadway stage.

1927 - Married to Florence Eldridge on May 30th.

1930 - He won plaudits for his send-up of John Barrymore in The Royal Family of Broadway.

1931-1946 - Won the Oscar for Best Actor twice: for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Best Years of Our Lives.

1975 - Died on April 14th in Los Angeles, California from prostate cancer.
