1898 - Blindness brought on by this work led him to turn to sculptor.
1900 - Maillol turned to sculpture, making terracotta, stone and bronzes of nude female figures in simple poses.
1944 - Died on September 27th in Banyuls-sur-Mer, France from an automobile accident.
