Madden, Charles Edward, Sir
1862 - Born on the 5th of September in Brompton England.
1875 - He entered the Britannia as a naval cadet.
1877 - He was promoted as Midshipman a subordinate officer.
1881 - He was promoted as a sub-lieutenant.
1892 - He was appointed as a torpedo lieutenant of the Royal Sovereign, flagship of the channel squadron.
1896 - He was promoted as a commander of a cruiser "Terrible" and the battleship "Caesar".
1904 - He secured his appointment as a member of the epoch-making ships design committee which produced
the Dreadnought (warships).
1905 - On the 28th of June he married Constance Winifred.
1911 - He became Rear Admiral a naval Commissioned officer.
1912 - He commanded the first division Home Fleet a fleet of the Royal Navy that protects the United Kingdom
territorial waters.
1915 - He became a Vice-Admiral.
1919 - He was appointed to the command of the newly constituted Atlantic Fleet.
1924 - He was promoted Admiral of the Fleet (Royal Navy).
1935 - He died on the 5th of June in St Marylebone. London.
