1946-1951 - He was a professor in Ohio State University.
1960-1964 - He became a professor in Rutgers University.
- He created the painting "Look Mikey".
1970 - He was later elected to the American Academy of Art.
1995 - He received the Nationala Medal of Arts.
1997 - He became a famous artist from then on until he died on September 29th in his hometown.
