1922 - Born on August 24th in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada.

1941-1943 - Graduated from Law at Laval University.

1947 - Married to Louise L'Heureux on May 3rd and they had three children.

1968 - He co-founded the Mouvement Souverainet-Association, which the following year combined with other separatist groups to form the Parti Quebecois. Levesque as its first president.

1976 - He was premier of the French-speaking Canadian province of Quebec and a leading advocate of independence from English-speaking Canada.

1978 - Married to Corinne Côté on April 12th.

1986 - Author of his memoir Attendez que je me rappelle.

1987 - Died from heart failure on November 1st in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
