1940 - Born in Liverpool, England on the 9th of October.
1950 - Attended Dovedale County Primary School.
1952 - 1957 - After getiing high marks he went to study at Quarry Bank Grammar School in Liverpool
1957 - He meets Paul McCartney for the first time, then George one year later.
- Started his own band with the original name of Jonny and The Moondogs which later become The Beatles.
1958-1960 - He goes to Art school, he mainly did drawings, he released two books in 1964 and 65 with his early drawings.
1960 - Becomes leader of The Beatles.
1961 - 1967 - Writes about half of the songs with Paul McCartney.
1962 - Married Cynthia, they have one child, Julian Lennon his son was born in 1963
1963 - In England, Beatlemania starts first, around October.
1964 - The Beatles career takes off after having a no.1 record in America and booked 3 shows on "The Ed Sullivan Show" variety TV show.
1966 - During an interview with Maureen Cleave in March, Lennon made an out-of-hand comment about religion. The news does not reach a fan Magazine until July.
1966 - The Beatles retire from touring, their last organized concert is August 29th,
in San Fransisco, at Candlestick Park.
1966-1967 - In Dec,66-May, 67, they work on "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" album, it is released in June. It becomes what might be their greatest album.
1968-1969 - John divorces first wife Cynthia in October,68, and marries Yoko
in March,69.
1969 - Active participation in the public protest against the Vietnam War and sent back his MBE, Member of the Order of the British Empire in protest against Britain's involvement in the Nigeria-Biafra Civil War.
1969 - Released his first solo album Live Peace in Toronto after the breakup of The Beatles.
1970 - The Beatles release their last Album, "Let It Be"
1971 - Moved to New York and became friends with antiwar leaders Jerry Rubin, Abbie Hoffman.
1971 - John Releases his album, "Imagine"
1972 - Released "Woman Is the Nigger of the World", an anti-sexism song.
1975 - Released his album Rock 'n' Roll and the 18th of on April, he made his last public appearance on ATV's special A Salute to Lew Grade.
1977 - He and his wife was invited to attend the Inaugural Ball by President Jimmy Carter on the 20th of January.
1980 - He was killed by a deranged fan on the 8th of December. He was considered as the leader of The Beatles, he played the rythm guitar.
1988 - The Beatles are entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
1994 - John Lennon is entered in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
