1924 – He was born on the 15th day of October this year in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

 

1966 – He is one of only 32 actors or actresses to have starred in both the original "Star Trek" from this year up to and including Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country  in 1991 and then in one of the spin offs.

 

1968 - He made appearances on Gunsmoke including the episode "No Where to run". Lenard wanted to appear in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan but Sarek wasn't in the film, and there were no substantial alien roles either. He was also the first choice to replace Spock when Leonard Nimoy considered leaving the show at the end of the first season of the original series.

 

1979 – He played all three (at the time) major aliens in the Star Trek universe (the Romulan commander in the original series "Balance of Terror", the Vulcan Sarek, and the Klingon captain in Star Trek: The Motion Picture .

 

1996 – At age 72, he died of multiple myeloma on the 22nd day of November this year in New York City, New York, USA.
