Lawrence, Jerome
1915 - Born on the 14th of July on Cleveland, Ohio.
1955 - Inherit the Wind, filmed 1960.
1956 - He co-wrote with Robert E. Lee. In all, they collaborated on 39 works, including a 1956 musical adaptation of James Hilton's Lost Horizon, entitled Shangri-La, with the author himself.
1959 - Auntie Mame, filmed 1958; adapted into the musical Mame, 1966; filmed 1974.
1970 - The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail.
1978 - First Monday in October, filmed 1981.
- Lawrence taught playwriting in the Master of Professional Writing Program at the University of Southern California.
2004 - Died on the 29th of February due to complications from a stroke in Malibu, California.
