1924 - Born on October 3rd in Brooklyn, New York. American cartoonist and editor.

1934 - Kurtzman, who published his first cartoon at the age of 14, attended the High School of Music and Art in New York City.

1943 - Served the United States Army.

1952 - Co-founder and editor of Mad Magazine.

1960 - Founder and editor of Help!, American humor magazine distributed monthly.

1993 - Died on February 21st in Mount Vernon, New York from cancer of the liver.
