1939 - Born in Brooklyn New York on the 13thof May.

1980 -  Keitel continued to find plenty of work on both stage and screen, but was usually in the stereotypical role of a thug.

1991 - Ridley Scott also helped Keitel by casting him as the sympathetic policeman in Thelma and Louise.

         - He obtained an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

1992 - Keitel starred in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, where his performance as "Mr. White" relaunched his semi-slumping career.


1994 - Starred in movies Pulp Fiction.


1995 - Starred in the movie Blue in the Face as Augie Wren.


1996 - Starred in movie "From Dusk Till Dawn" as Jacob Fuller.


1997 - He starred in the crime drama, Cop Land.

1999 - Keitel was replaced with Sydney Pollack on the set of Eyes Wide Shut due to scheduling conflicts. Keitel then came to great notoriety for his performance in Bad Lieutenant.

2001 - He married Daphna Kastner.
