Samuel Milton Jones was a US (Welsh-born) industrialist, politician, and labor reformer.
1846 - Born in Denbighshire, Wales.
1894 - He began the Acme Sucker Rod Companyand nnounced that the one company rule was the Golden Rule.
He set up a Golden Rule Hall, a Golden Rule Dining Room, Golden Rule Park, even a Golden Rule Band.
1897-1904 - Served as Mayor of Toledo, Ohio.
