Jones, Casey(orig. John Luther Jones)

1863 – He was born on the 14th day of March this year in southeast Missouri.

1878 - He went to work for the Mobile and Ohio Railroad as an apprentice telegrapher.

1890 - He had reached the pinnacle of the railroad profession as a crack locomotive engineer on the Illinois Central Railroad.

1899 - He was given a regular passenger run on the Cannonball route which ran between Chicago and New Orleans.

1900 – He died on the 29th day of April this year.
