1890 – He had reached the pinnacle of the railroad profession as a crack locomotive engineer on the Illinois Central Railroad.
1899 – He was given a regular passenger run on the Cannonball route which ran between Chicago and New Orleans.
1900 – He died on the 29th day of April this year.
