1944 – Lynda Johnson Robb, born on the 19th of March. She is the oldest daughter of former President Lyndon B. Johnson and Lady Bird Johnson and a self-proclaimed "professional volunteer."
1966 – 1968 – She wrote for McCall’s magazine.
1967 – Married Marine Captain Charles S. Robb in the East Room of the White House.
1969 – 1981 – She worked as a contributing editor for Ladies’ Home Journal.
1996-2001 – She was President of the National Home Library Foundation, Chair Emerita of Reading is Fundamental, and a member of the board of the Lady Bird Johnson WIldflower Research Center.
2004 – She attended the state funeral of former President Ronald Reagan, which was the first state funeral since her father’s, on behalf of her mother, Lady Bird Johnson, who was unable to attend because of poor health and mobility problems.
2006 – She again represented her mother for the state funeral of former President Gerald Ford.
