1947 - Born on the 30th of December at Shard End, Birmingham, England.
1963 - He formed a band together with Robert Reader and David Walsh. They were originally named
"The Rockin' Hellcats", then eventually changed to "Andicaps".
1967- Lynne began as the frontman of a group called the Idle Race.
1970 - He accepted the offer of his friend Roy Wood to joined the band "The Move".
1972- Jeff starts Electric Light Orchestra aka ELO
1974- Eldorado yielding their first U.S. Top Ten, the lovely "Can't Get It Out of My Head
1975- Face the Music went gold, generating the hits "Evil Woman" and "Strange Magic," while the follow-up,
A New World Record, sold five million copies internationally thanks to standouts like "Telephone Line" and "Livin' Thing."
1977 - He released the songs "Doing", "that Crazy Thing" and "Going Down to Rio".
1986- ELO disbanded
1989-90- Traveling Wilburys
1989 - He co-produced the acclaimed album "Full Moon Fever" by Tom Petty
1992 - He co-wrote and produced the album "Into The Great Wide Open" by Tom Petty
- He produced the album "King of Hearts" by Roy Orbison.
1994 - He has produced records individually for George Harrison, Ringo Star and worked on Paul
McCartney's album "Flaming Pie".
1996 - He was awarded "Ivor Novello Award" for outstanding contributions to British Music.
2006 - He produced Tom Petty's solo third album "Highway Companion".
- He won the Q Icon Award at the 2006 Q Awards.
