1967 - Roberto Baggio was Born 18th of February in Caldogno, near Vicenza, Italy.
1981 - He starts his carreer with Vicenza in Serie C1.
1982 - Roby the only Italian to win Ballon d'Or.
1993 - Won his lone European club trophy.
1997 - Transferred to Bologna in order to resuscitate his career.
1998 - Signed contract with Internazionale.
2002 - He transferred to previously unfashionable Brescia.
2004 - He was given an international sendoff match on 28th of April against Spain. Baggio continued playing at Brescia until his retirement.
2005 - Roby invited to play for the European XI at the Football for Hope Indian Ocean tsunami relief benefit at the Nou Camp in Barcelona, but he did not accept the invitation.
Wrote a memoirs titled Una Porta nel Cielo ("A Goal in the Sky"). In it, he told of many rifts with managers.
Roby is recognized as Il Divin Codino (The Divine Ponytail), for the hairstyle he wore for most of his career.
He is a religious Soka Gakkai Buddhist, a shortage for an Italian. He credits much of his victory to support from his guru, Daisaku Ikeda.
