1850 - George Huntington, born on the 9th of April in Long Island, New York. He was an American physician.

1872 - Huntington's disease bears his name because he described it in the first of only two academic papers he ever wrote. He wrote this paper when he was 22, one year after getting his medical degree at Columbia University in New York City.

       - He read the paper before the Meigs and Mason Academy of Medicine at Middleport, Ohio on the 15th of February.

1874 - He returned to Duchess County, New York to practice medicine.

1916 - Died on the 3rd of March at the age of 66.
