Huggins, Nathan Irvin
1927 - Born on the 14th of January in Chicago, Illinois.
1939 - His father abandoned them and his mother moved Huggins and his older sister Kathryn to San Francisco, California.
1945-1946 - Huggins was drafted into the U.S. Army when he was 18.
1954 - Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
1955 - Finished his M.A. at the University of California this year.
1959 - Graduated with a Masters Degree in History at the Harvard University.
1962 - Graduated with a Doctorate Degree in History at the Harvard University.
1966-1969 - Founding President of the American Museum of Negro History.
