1925 - Leroy Harold Scherer Jr. was born on the 17th of November in Winnetka, Illinois.
1933 - When he was eight years old, his parents, an auto mechanic and a telephone operator, divorced
1943 - graduated in new trier high school, winnetka, illinois and became a postal employee.
- During the WWII, he was a navy plane mechanic. After the war, he became a truck driver in Los Angeles usually spending idle time outside studio gates and sending photographs of himself to various producers.
- his physique got him a place in the movies. His name was changed to Rock Hudson, his teeth were capped, he took lessons in acting, singing, fencing and riding.
1948 - His first picture was "Fighter Squadron."
1955 - On the 9th of November, Universal Studios arranged his marriage with Phyllis Gates.
1956 - He received an Oscar nomination for his movie "Giant."
1958 - Three years after their marriage, Rock Hudson was divorced to Phyllis Gates.
1985 - He died on the 2nd of October at Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California because of AIDS.
