Hernandez Colon, Rafael
1936 - Born on October 24th in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
1960 - He began his public service at the age of 24, when he was named Associate Commissioner of Public Service of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
1965 - He was appointed Justice Secretary by Governor Roberto Sánchez Vilella.
1968-1969 - He was elected Senator and became President of the Senate.
1972 - At the age of 36 he was elected Governor of Puerto Rico and was selected by Time Magazine as one of the World's 150 most distinguished leaders.
1984-1988 - He was re-elected Governor of Puerto Rico.
1991 - On behalf the people of Puerto Rico, he received the Principe de Asturias Awaroi.
