1946 – He was born on the 5th day of March this year in London.

 

1960 – He began acting and writing songs as a child, he had a London recording contract.

 

1971 – He won a leading role in the Oscar-nominated Sunday Bloody Sunday, alongside Peter Finch and Glenda Jackson.

 

1975 – He received little public attention in the next ten years (save for the single Say It Ain't So Joe from this year).

 

1984 – He reappeared in the spotlight this year as the star of the musical, Chess.

 

1993 – He has released a number of albums in that language and is more popular in France and Canada. Noticeably, the song "Une femme un homme", a duet with Marie Carmen released this year became a radio hit in French-speaking Canada.

 

2005 – He played an artist called Jack Hollins on ITV's Heartbeat from this year to2006.
