1859 - Born in Edinburgh, Scotland on the 8th of March.

1895 - Wrote story collections "The Golden Age".

1898 - "Dream Days".

1879-1907 - He was sent to work at the Bank of England in and rose through the ranks until retiring as its Secretary due to ill health.

1908 - The Wind in the Willows".

1932 - Kenneth Grahame died in Pangbourne, Berkshire on the 6th of July. He is buried in Holywell Cemetery, Oxford, near the grave of the American expatriate author James Blish.
