1910 - Geneen was born in Bournemouth, Hampshire, England on the 22nd of January.

 

1933 - He attended and studied accounting at New York University.

 

1934-1956 - He worked for various accounting and manufacturing companies.

 

1956-1959 - He became the Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon.

 

1959 - He became the President and Chief Executive Officer of International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation.

 

1961 - Under his leadership, the company grew from a medium-sized business with $760 million sales.

 

1970 - He was able to make the company into a multinational conglomerate with $17 billion sales.

 

1972 - He resigned as President and Chief Executive Officer of International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation. After he was investigated for tax fraud and securities manipulation. He was also linkedwith the CIA's interference in the reelection of Chilean President Allende.

 

1973-1977 - He became a member of the Board of Directors.

 

1997 - He died on the 21st of November.
