1851 – Born on the 25th of January in Time, Norway.

1872 – He established the newspaper Tvedestrandsposten.

1877 – He founded the weekly Fedraheim, in which he urged reforms in many spheres including political, social, religious, agrarian, and linguistic.

1880 – He was also a journalist for the Dagbladet.

1892 – He edited the Tvedestrandsposten and Fedraheimen.

1894 – He laid the ground, together with Rasmus Steinsvik, for the paper Den 17de Mai.

1924 – Died on the 14th of January.
