Garamendi, John
1945 - Born on the 24th of January in Mokelumne Hill, California, U.S.A.
1966 - He served in the "Peace Corps" (an independent United States Federal agency) in Ethiopia.
1974 - He won the election in California State Assembly (lower house of the California State Legislature).
1976 - He won in the State Senate election in California.
1990 - He became California's first Commissioner of Insurance.
1994 - He ran for a Governor in California but lost. He was appointed by President Bill Clinton, (42nd President of the United States) as a Deputy Of the Interior the second-highest post in the U.S. Department of Interior.
2003 - He became California State Insurance Commissioner.
