1836 - Born on the 28th of June in De Ruyter, New York U.S.A.

1853 - At the age of 17, he became a bank clerk in New York.

1858 - He worked as a cashier in tile banking house of the Merchants Loan and Trust Company.

1870 - He became the president of the First National Bank one of the strongest financial institutions in the

            Middle East.

1892 - He was chosen as a President of the Board of Directors of the "Worlds Columbian Exposition".

1897 - He served as a Secretary of Treasury in the United States.

1902 - On the month of April he became president of the United States Trust Company in New York City.

1927 - He died at the age of 91 in San Diego,California U.S.A.
